Why a Myvi EV is an amazing idea.

Let’s be honest, the Myvi has been around for close to 2 decades now and it is the reigning ‘king’ of an ICE vehicle in Malaysia if I may. The new 2022 Myvi even saw 4303 bookings in just 9 days, signifying the immense desirability of the king.

But with car manufacturers moving towards electrifying their vehicles in the near future, what would be the ideal EV for us Malaysians? A compact hatch with torque figures that could eat those tiny wheels in an instant? Maybe not (one can dream right?).

Imagine a hatch with respectable range and performance figures paired with an affordable price tag and proven reliability, that is a recipe the Myvi EV should be based on. Manufacturers should also retain similar styling or design language to ease consumers towards switching to an EV. While radical design changes might be cool and exciting, not many will be happy with those drastic steps.
