Tesla Model Y Juniper Facelift Available In Singapore – Insane Looks and Value

Tesla’s refreshed Model Y, codenamed “Juniper,” has officially made its debut in Singapore, and it’s turning heads for all the right reasons. Priced from S$76,590 w/o COE for the RWD variant, this sleek EV offers incredible value, giving both electric and traditional ICE SUVs a serious run for their money. Deliveries are set to begin in late April 2025, but let’s dive into what makes this update such a game-changer.

Visually, the Model Y has undergone some stunning updates. The new design features full-width “indirect reflective body panel taillight” lending the car a bold and futuristic appearance. Up front, the redesigned facia trades the large “bulbous” headlights for a sleeker, light-bar-inspired design reminiscent of the Cybertruck. The actual headlights are now positioned lower on the front bumper, embracing Tesla’s minimalist ethos in a way that feels fresh yet refined.

White Interior

Step inside, and you’ll find a cabin that oozes sophistication. Drawing inspiration from the refreshed Model 3, the Model Y’s interior is all about premium materials and understated elegance. The minimalist dashboard, upgraded upholstery, and advanced tech integration create a space that’s as functional as it is luxurious. One notable and welcome change is the return of the turn signal stalk, a response to customer feedback that was loud and clear after its removal in the Model 3, one that even I welcome!

Performance-wise, the new Model Y brings improved efficiency, offering more range and faster acceleration across its lineup. The entry-level RWD variant achieves an impressive 466 km on a single charge, up from 455 km and sprints from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, a tad faster than the old 6.9 seconds. For those craving even more power, the Long Range AWD version delivers 551 km, up from 533 km of range, with a blistering 4.3-second 0-100 km/h time. Both variants come with a 4-year/80,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km battery and drive unit warranty, ensuring peace of mind for buyers.

19’’ Crossflow Wheels

The refreshed Model Y also introduces subtle but meaningful engineering upgrades. Tesla’s new wheel and tyre package promises a smoother ride with improved grip, while redesigned body castings have reduced parts from 70 to just one, minimizing gaps and enhancing NVH. Acoustic glass and other noise-dampening measures create a whisper-quiet cabin, perfect for enjoying Tesla Arcade games or simply soaking in the serenity of an electric drive.

Tesla Arcade is available for rear passengers too!

Storage and practicality remain key strengths of the Model Y. With power-reclining second-row seats that fold flat, you can expand the trunk space to over 2,130 liters. A hands-free trunk unlocks automatically as you approach, adding a layer of convenience that makes everyday life easier.

Launch Edition badging.

For early adopters, Tesla has also introduced a limited “Launch Series” of the Model Y. This exclusive batch features special badging and added perks, making it a collector’s dream. Starting at S$76,590 w/o COE for the RWD variant and S$86,590 w/o COE for the Long Range AWD, the pricing is competitive, especially when you factor in the long-term savings on fuel and maintenance.
