The Proton eMas 7 marks Proton’s first foray into the EV market, developed in partnership with Geely. While the eMas is essentially a rebadged Geely EX5 (not to be confused with the Honda EX5 :D), its early success is noteworthy, with an impressive number of bookings in a short span of time. To sweeten the deal, the first 3,000 buyers of the eMas 7 will receive an RM4,000 discount.
For context, the Proton X50 (2024) garners approximately 8,000 bookings per month. Considering that the eMas 7 is an EV, securing 2,500 bookings in just two weeks is a promising indicator of Malaysians’ growing interest in electric vehicles. With the launch offer nearing the 3,000-unit mark, now is the time to act if you want to take advantage of the discount. You can place your booking at any of the 30 Proton eMas dealerships or through their official website.
“The enthusiasm Malaysians have shown for the Proton e.MAS 7 highlights their readiness to embrace sustainable mobility. Combining innovative features with exceptional value, the Proton e.MAS 7 is designed to be the ideal choice for those looking to electrify their journeys. This EV represents a significant step forward, not only for PROTON but also for Malaysia’s green automotive future,” said Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.
In addition to the RM4,000 rebate, Proton is offering an attractive launch package worth RM8,000 for the first 3,000 customers. This package includes a free 7kW home charger (worth RM1,500), a free V2L adaptor (worth RM500), a five-year unlimited data package (worth RM1,800), a trade-in rebate (worth RM1,200), and a special 1.98% interest rate from Proton Commerce, which could save you up to RM3,000.
