Exciting! Indeed it is. The EQA is based on the popular ICE powered GLA. Mercedes-Benz launched 3 variants of the EQA in Europe. Namely the EQA 250 (front-wheel drive, 190PS/375Nm), EQA 300 (all-wheel drive, 228PS/390Nm) and the EQA 350 (all-wheel drive, 292PS/520Nm).

It is not clear yet which variants will be available in Malaysia for now, but it is quite possible the EQA 250 will make it here. All variants get the same 66.5 kWh battery and support 11kW AC charging as well as 100kW DC fast charging.

Range varies with the 3 variants with the EQA 250 sporting a range of 420KM (WLTP), EQA 300 between 400-426KM and EQA 350 between 409-432KM. Not too bad for an SUV even if there are EVs that have better range.

Stay tuned as we cover the launch for more info on the EQA lineup and what Mercedes-Benz has to offer us Malaysians with their unique EVs.

Let us know down below, would you consider the EQA over a C class? What if the price is around the RM200k range?
